EMILY OXLAND, RMT
Resolution of structural issues requires locating with pin-point accuracy the root cause of pain and/or dysfunction. This is accomplished by thoroughly testing the functional status of each muscle, tendon, ligament, joint, etc. Additionally, it is imperative that the correct therapy be identified and applied. A muscle that has been over-stretched/overloaded will need to be treated very differently from one that is perhaps adhered to other muscles, or even one that has tendon damage. Not identifying the correct therapy will result in limited/no benefit. In combination with modalities such as lymphatic drainage and other deep tissue techniques, we can restore your body's ability to meet the daily demands you place upon it. Also of critical importance is patient education, so that you are able to manage your condition with optimal homecare techniques and heal every day, not just while in my office.
