Verna graduated from the West Coast college of Massage therapy in 1990. She is trained and experienced in Swedish Massage Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy and Muscle Energy Technique (MET). She has years of experience treating people of all ages. Her preventative and therapeutic practices include a special interest in neck, back and joint injuries. Verna’s approach to Therapy incorporates a variety of non-invasive techniques specific to each condition.
Other gentle modalities she uses are Strain/Counter Strain (opposite of stretching; resets short and painful muscles), Assisted Stretching and Mobilization with Movement (MWM is a painless modality used to correct faulty tracking in joints of the extremities). These techniques are especially effective for whiplash, headaches, overuse injuries, muscle spasm, temporal mandibular joint dysfunction (jaw pain), sciatica and many others. Verna’s skills also include designing individual programs that facilitate muscular balance, correct biomechanics, and postural alignment. Verna is dedicated to treating her clients in a holistic manner and supporting them towards optimal health and well being.
