What is Clinical Counselling?
Clinical counselling can help individuals to improve their mental, emotional and physical health while encouraging positive relationships with self, others and the larger community. Counselling helps individuals to discover their own inner wisdom and strengths and can encourage deeper self-awareness, insight, shifts in perceptions, growth, transformation and connection. At the core of the counselling relationship between client and therapist is compassion, attunement, and empathy.
How many Sessions will I need?
Length of treatment varies according to the nature of the client’s difficulties. Depending on the individual and area of conflict, brief therapy can involve 6-10 sessions, whereas longer-term therapy may necessitate a longer period of therapy. Counselling begins with a thorough assessment, including assessing your goals and desired outcomes for therapy. Jasmine will work with you to design a treatment plan aimed at helping you achieve those goals.
